We have no nerves for the next Olympiad.
After the dissapointment of the free dance in Torino it was very hard to find Denkova and Staviski. But after a long search correspondent of "Topsport" did succeed.
Albena doesn't disguise her anger after what happened in "Palavela".

-- Albena, do you feel yourselves robbed?

-- Definitively, we do. But as much as we were robbed they have mocked at us! It is very hard, because we did put everything for that olympiad. We did change the coach, we've missed some big competitions and everything was to do our best at the Games. But unfortunately it didn't come true. We risked a lot during all our programs. We did perform a lot of difficult elements that you couldn't notice in the programs of other couples. It's all very hard, of course, but what can we do - this is sport..

-- Do you think that you suffered, because the judges were more benevolent to the russian couple Tatiana Navka & Roman Kostomarov?

-- It's only people who watched the competition from aside can say. I can't judge about it.

-- Maxim did react so emotionally when he saw the score...

-- It's normal. It was impossible to wait something another after what happened.

-- In spite of your announcement about your retiring after the World Championships in Calgary, do you think you could have a power for the next Olympic Games or do you just think that the judging system did condemn every possibility?

-- We have never announced about the end of our career. But I don't think that we could find the power for one more olympiad. It's not the question of the physical condition but.. We just have no nerves for one more olympiad. Too much mental loading. Actually we are too exhausted emotionally.

-- Why did the judges give you 2 points of deduction?

-- We did check the details. One our lift was several hundredths of a second longer than it's allowed according to tje regulations of ISU. But it doesn't matter anyway, bacause 2 points of deduction is only in the case of the fall!

-- What is it necessary to change in COP-system or is it possible to exclude this kind of figure skating from the olympic program?

-- There are some changes in the judging system every year. It can even confuse competitors in some way. But, I think that ice-dancing can't be exclude from the olympic program, because it's a very beautiful and attractive sport.

-- Could your sister Ina Demireva take the baton after you retire?

-- It's too early to talk about it! My sister and her estonian partner Yuri Koratin suit each other very well on ice. I hope they could join the elite of world ice-dancing. I will be also very glad if we have some more followers here, in Bulgaria.

-- World Championships in Calgary are so close. What ambitions do you have?

-- We don't want to think about it. Let the olympic passions calm down. We are still under a great impression of everything that happened in Torino. But we still hope for the good performance, though. We will fight to the end!

-- You have trained abroad for many years and Maxim is russian. Have you already thought about where would you live after you retire?

-- We always say we'd like to stay in Bulgaria. We'd like to live calmly in Sofia when we retire..
